Code gears Turbo versions are less powerful than their full production tools, because the production tools support C++, Java and Object Pascal, as well as .net out of the (expensive) box.

Turbo Delphi is Delphi 2007, with only .net or Win32
The free one has a fixed number of components and cannot be extended. The paid for one is a sensible price and gives you the ability to add/write components
