Too many BIOS inconsistencies over the years... large and crappy connector. RIP the parallel port. Hope I never see one again. USB is waaaaay better in all aspects as far as I'm concerned.

Same goes for ISA, EISA, etc... They were fun and interesting at the time (ISA and EISA, not LPT), but I am not sorry I don't "interface" with them anymore. They are as useful as that 8255 we all love talking about. ;-)
