that board is not mine, I mean, the board itself is, I bought the prototype which is on the pictures there; but the idea and design is of that guy (J.Bezstarosti). I think it could be converted to VGA relatively easily, although it would probably require a proper videoDAC (and more memory of course). Hovewer, a standard '51 has barely the horsepower to feed even the TV version - I am using 8-bit color at the moment, and a stupid clearscreen takes around half a second with a 12-clocker @ 22.1184MHz (all asm of course). This is an often overseen problem - graphics generation is computationally very expensive, and even some of the simplest operations results in huge amounts of data manipulation - and this of course takes time.
