#142403 - MCU driven Panel displays |
I have a requirement to display some 8 process values ( monochrome ). The up-date rate is not very fast and once every 0.3 to 0.5 sec is fine. Each display will have a maximum of 5 digits including decimal.
The input values will be +/- 0 to 10V dc. I can read in the analog values from the field with an MCU and form a digitized bit stream that will be sent to the display unit. Assuming I get one of the regular 10" flat panel industrial display for this purpose, which kind of input is more suitable to handle the bitstream from the MCU port ? Most of them have VGA input - so how do we go about this ? This ( display stuff ) is a totally new area to and maybe the question looks quite childish ?? I did go through the "8052 Video" on the side bar but feel that is not what I am looking for ... Thanks Raghu |
