But if Bit Banging works in your project, go with it. ... for a while.
When you find that the processor hogging bit-banging is interfer with someting else, you will have to change to the HW SPI anyhow. Albeit with IIC, in the days before HW IIC, I, several times, had to use a satelite processor to do the bit banging, efectively mimicking todays HW IIC. YES, when it was possible I did it in one uC, but now that it is free to use HW, why bother bit-bang. Erik |
