#142031 - echoes of Mr. Ludd Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I have the freedom to use any I/O
if that is an issue, you need to learn how to plan your design before you start. I never used the HW SPI and I really see no reason why I should use it. I come to think of Mr Ludd it is nonsens to use the SPI interface it is nonsense NOT to use the SPI interface. Most of the time you have to create your own timing. Sure, but HW SPI has timing SFR(s), again not a reson for the luddite attitude. Show me how to use the HW SPI in case of the ENC, you have DIN, DOUT, CLK ;-)) is there any way to have 3 PINs at the SPI interface? WHY do you not use the SPI standard signal names?. You may have found some screwy thingy, but I know of no SPI interface (a real HW SPI, not UART mode 0) that do not have MISO, MOSI and SCK. The more advanced ones will have NSS as well. Erik PS be happy that there are no hangings for luddism any more :) |
