#141296 - a small correction Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You didn't notice that Erik hates all IDEs, then?!
Erik hates all existing IDEs If anyone (with the capital resources to accomplish it) wants to make a fully functioning, user friendly, flexible, complete, capable IDE I will gladly help write the specs. Much more than 'hating IDEs' I am disgusted with the ASSumption that the IDE is important for functionality. It is not. The IDE does NOT compile, link or debug, that is done by the programs the IDE interfaces to. I can see little Joe the bungling amateur being satisfied with the amenities if an IDE, but, for instance, let him have a professional editor, such as CodeWright, for a week and the satisfaction will be gone. There is nothing wrong with the idea of an IDE, just the implementations I have seen so far for the '51 STINK. Erik |
