A CF module would be really easy to write, and could easily contain the equivalent of many 27C32's. With an SRAM, a CPLD, and a CF (or SD or whatever version) and a CPLD, you could transfer the data to an SRAM that looks more or less like a 27C32. An adequate CPLD or even MCU could live in a TQFP about the size of your little fingernail, as could the SRAM. You'd need a 10-bit switch and a 32Kx8 SRAM, together with a 16 MB CF, which is, I think, the smallest available, and which most people don't even use. You probably have one or two yourself.
