Well...
I still consider myself a newbie (working towards and amateur though) and I've found 8052 site very informative! It is true, to fully comprehend the answers given in this forum, it does require a certain level of dedication and effort, and after all a little imagination, but it also requires a certain level of implicitly required skills (such as basic programming skill in language of interest, eg. asm/c) or elementary electronics. It is very difficult to give mechanical advice on some detail of clutch operation of a car to a person with no mechanical skills/knowledge whatsoever. The process of crawl-walk-run. Lots of repelled newies are not repelled by ill-explained thread, but by their own 'hurry to run'... I've seen detailed and decent answers even to questions like 'what is pull-up resistor', just the 'repelled group' never asks those kind of question. It is true, that we have here also some fierce debates, but opposite opinions are fundamental part of dialectics. There is often no 'absolute truth' in engineering. And just to spice it a bit (I totally agree about 'home feeling' mentined earlier) some pickerish childish debates over some 'believes' (did somebody mentioned 8255?). And, by the way, I still drive YUGO (Skala-55C), none offence taken :)) Best luck, CN |
