He's not unlike a bull in a china shop. I guess the same could be said of me, though. I agree, however, that he tends to come down a bit hard on people he doesn't know, or, at least, of whom he knows little. His opinions are firm, and they're his. You don't have to agree.
I think he sometimes overstates his case, for example, saying, "You're and idiot," when he really means, "You're looking like an idiot in the position you're taking," and that's the thing for which I think he should be forgiven. If he says, "You're wrong ..." that's typical for this forum. If you go around a room with n participants m times, you'll get n+m opinions. Surely they can't all be right. It's in this disagreement that new ideas are born, BTW. It gives people cause to think, not always about what's said, but about why. RE |
