What has being curious got to do with that primeaval source code?
If you want to root through the FTN files, have at it! They won't tell you much about how to program a current generation part, or even develop a fuse map for one. MMI was "parted out" in the mid-late '80's, with part spun off as XILINX and part sold to AMD. Only after they were dismembered did GALs and other reprogrammable SPLD's become popular. IIRC, the first thing AMD did with the PALASM code was to have it translated to Pascal. Only after a couple of years' debug and rework time did they produce a useable product in the form of the Palasm IV, v1.5 that's now out there on the www. Satisfy your curiosity if you will, but don't expect much. RE |
