Last I used the Lattice software, but not for smallish PALs. I went for the Altera (was it 32) macrocell devices somewhere in the 90's and never looked back at the smallish devices. Of course, when better came along (The Intel whatvers (something like 10 22V10s in a 100 pin package [long ago]; CoolRunner - I loved those; Lattice MACH etc)
