He didn't plow any of the street. He just plowed a section next to the curb so someone could park there during his party, and plowed the snow onto my Mom's sidewalk. The entire street was not plowed, and, in fact, still hasn't been. It just looked like it because the snow was so deep everywhere but where the big weighty, gas-guzzling, air-polluting SUV's had been skidding about. It's a moderately steep hill, after all.

No, the guy wasn't doing a service to the community. He was just making a mess of my Mom's sidewalk, with about 30" of heavy, partially wet from melt, snow. He plowed a couple of parking spaces in front of his house on th opposite side of the street, but, there, he took care not to bury the sidewalk. I guess that's what one should expect from a 4-SUV and 1 pickup family in a 4 bedroom housewith a 1-car garage.
