#125287 - Are they unwanted? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I suppose twin-T or similar filtering will be useful to remove all the unwanted harmonics. At first, I thought like you, that the harmonics are unwanted and need to be suppressed by suited measures. But is this actually true? The string also produces third and fifth harmonic, so no interference should occur. The avoid of filters offers an advantage, if the circuit should be hand held, battery powered. A simple transistor stage would be enough then to drive a small loudspeaker. When introducing a low pass filter, on the other hand, some more parts would be needed. What do you think? Kai |
