#124260 - I am still none the wiser
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi,

A RS485 cable is supposed to be 2 wires (A&B)+ GND(recomended), if so, what is the second cable mentioned in your post?
If all the unit's connectors, therefore connections to the bus are identical, why shouldn't all the units see two GNDs?

Probably I couldn't understand the case, but, my question would be, for a system of 200 units, do you apply this switching system (relay) to all units just for the sake of comfortibility of automatic termination?

Apart from this, the real headache is biasing in a ever extending RS485 network. Do you have any automatic biasing system solution as bus gets longer in time?

Thanks.

Rustu
