The temperature that matters is near the surface, not the carcass temperature.
A really interesting project would be to develop a closed loop pressure controller which could be fitted in to the wheel. Gas temperature and pressure are linked through the gas laws, so you would want to vent gas if the temperature got too high and pump it in if it got too low. |
