Of course the others are right that a TC would do what you're describing. In point of fact, I own a dedicated welder just for making thermocouples. They're pretty much the first choice, at least they always seem to be the first choice in applications where they are practicle.
However, I would point out that if you develop a non-contact thermometer to measure tire temperature you would be a short step away from having something mounted inside the fender well and monitoring tire temperature in real time. Just a thought. |
