#121785 - Racing tyres Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you want to measure tyre temperatures so that you can set them up for the track, then you don't want to measure the surface temperature, you want to measure the temperature about 1mm below the surface. You can do this if your contact probe has a pointed end. Doing all the measurements before the tyres cool significantly is tricky, so you have to be organised and quick. Always measure the hottest tyre first, which will usually be the driven, outside one. |
