The purpose of that whole exercise is to ensure that the students don't end up with junk, yet can buy cheap parts. What they do next year doesn't matter, actually, since he'll not be teaching the course, but they can combat year-to-year solutions by using a different micro next time. Nobody knows who'll be teaching it, so nobody knows what the required exercises will be. The students will keep their projects, so they may want to have fully functional parts. This just will help ensure that they have them, at least at the outset. (maybe you should read the WHOLE post, henceforth) RE |
