It did but it was a multiple choice test as well. The available answers should still lead to the correct answer (in a test the correct answer is the one that gets you a mark) for a properly designed input. At That time that and other poor depictions were used in various manufacturers data sheets to show a "typical part" But then they also had a picture of the silicon on the data sheet as well.
How that was useful in applying a part is beyond me. Today they have recognised the need for more accurate modeling of the contact point circuitry and replaced it with sloppy information about how to make it work internally thus all the errata sheets we see. Terry |
