#178821 - Couldn't find that ... this time
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I guess I'm getting forgetful ... I couldn't remember where to find that URL.

The problem is, of course, that there are multiple parameters that could be combined in any number of ways. So parametric search is not the big help that it would be if required features were more restricted. The output voltage could be created with PWM or DAC, and those could be internal or external and interfaced via SPI or I2C. I do prefer, of course that they be on-chip, but the choice isn't mine. Minimizing pin-count isn't so big a deal, but few is preferable over many once requirements are met. The 10-LED display only needs four output bits, as it will easily be handled with a 7445 type decoder capable of at least 16 mA.

What IS important is that the required features demand as little firmware attention as possible, so that, aside from initialization, the code itself can be kept reasonably simple.
