Maxim AN-2141 may be the one I found before.
"Determining Clock Accuracy Requirements for UART Communications" http://pdfserv.maxim-ic.com/en/an/AN2141.pdf which may very well be correct; however, all such only applies if you know both sides since it is the total error (both ends). If whoever have developed the equipment you connect to have read this appnote and decided that 3% off is good enough, you are screwed if you are not precisely on the rate. Erik |
