#176138 - likely a wromg approach
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Perhaps you could put an adjustable square wave signal in to a PC computer serial port running hyperterminal or another serial program. The adjust the frequency and see when errors appear at what frequency or baud rate error.
this, very likely is a wrong approach. It will, of course, show the tolerance of one end but you never know the deviation of the rate at the other end. The permissible baud error is quite high if the other end is "on the nose" but assuming that would be asking for trouble.
