#175275 - crystal oscillator
Hey,

I am currently using 89V51RD2 with a 11.0592MHz crystal. There is an on-board serial programmer. I want to use the chip for some high frequency applications. And as there is an internal divide by 12 circuit, I get a 1.086us pulse.

a)I want it to be faster, so, can I simply use a crystal oscillator with a higher operating frequency?

b)Will programming the chip with a different crystal oscillator and using another for operation pose any problems?

c)Is there any practical upper limit to the frequency that the chip can work on?
