As it stands, I still say that directly connecting anything to the live mains sounds like a bad thing to do! Connecting anything directly to the live mains is potentially very dangerous indeed! The problem is not so much with "normal" operation - but in ensuring that the system remains safe under all fault and misuse conditions. Blowing up the microcontroller is not the big issue - killing people is! ![]() |
