2.9.0 is pretty old, even if it is the "official" issued version. It pays off to get the "bleeding edge" (a.k.a. snapshots), including the manual (which btw. is pretty '51-centric).
Also, feel free to ask on the SDCC forum, or here, if in doubts. I'd also perhaps try with porting some smaller project first, just to get the feeling of it. JW |
