I like the 8052 core verses the AVR format or PIC because the software is easier to understand.

Would a senior engineer pick a PIC over a 8052 device because they liked the instruction set of one over the other?

or...

Maybe "PIC vs 8052"? refers to "which product line is easier to work (learn) with"?

A concept which may escape a seasoned engineer adept with both devices.
