Yes, I have been thinking about getting a portable picture replicator to either drag the photos directly from the camera, or at least move them from (in my case) CF to USB thunb drives. The camera can gobble almost 100MB/s in serial drive, and large and fast CF cards are very much pricier than large (and optionally slow) USB thumb drives.
I just thought that the OP should make sure he spent his time on doing something that both was a challenge and usable to him. I don't think too many people have a big need for copying data from one USB thumb drive to another. And when the work gets problematic, it will be easier to keep the inspiration if the device is usable and not a random project to turn in at school. |
