#161567 - [8052] Connect periphery over the XRAM Port
Hey guys,

we´re part of an uni project and we are working since some time ago with the 8052(t51).
We have load the core on a XILINX Spartan 3-e Board and tested the display, uART, Timer and that stuff succesfully.
Now we got a working CAN-Controller (it works for sure, because some of our mates can use him with other cores like HC08 or an AVR).
Our idea was, take the XRAM-Lines of our Core (because we don´t have an external RAM) and connect the CAN with them.

So far, so good ;-)

Our problem is, that the CAN will never be enabled, because we don´t know how to push the signal "ext_ram_en" to "1". (Signal in 8052.vhd)

Does somebody has an idea or some tipps for us?
Is it generally possible to connect other things with the XRAM-Lines?

We put a lot of energy in this project, but we are still at the beginning. Still learning step by step :-)
