On startup yes it says "ACTUAL TEMP", "SET TEMP", "MODE" , "JB". I do get what you are saying, so the ascii result is saved in r1 and the the ACALL DATAWRT after the command MOV A,@R1 in the DATA_DISPLAY block the data destroys the data by one of the first few commands correct? I cant figure which one or if all, but I will say that my LCD code was from some site that worked for me since the one in the book didnt, im getting at that the adc code form the book calls data_display from the lcd chapter which mines not like at all so I had typed it to be like the rest of my lcd code. Ill look at it more tomorrow since i had no time tonight.
