Compiler Keil, IAR, Gcc? JTAG?
I have worked with, and liked, Keil and IAR. Both have strong points and weak points. JTAG will be mandatory. From reading many posts I'd say - whichever toolset you choose, buy the same companys JTAG adapter (u-link or j-link) a long supply life Well, Keil is owned by ARM, so the Keil stuff - possibly rebranded - should be around as long as ARM Any Chips to stay away from? I am looking for a long supply life I have, by pure coincidence, only worked with the STM32f1xx and know of several products that should keep (some of) those araund for a good while. Also the STM32f2xx is, pretty much, a drop in replacement for the STM32f1xx. Erik |
