#182951 - How good is a good PSU? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It's hard to buy good PSUs, as there's not much demand. A good PSU by current market criteria is quiet, efficient and has funky LEDs inside. There is little call for high reliability or high integrity, so nobody spends the money on them. I now only buy small form factor PCs (I'm surrounded by six of them as I type), so the problem is even more acute.
An external (to the PSU) overvoltage protector could be used in any system. |
