#181620 - To M.Sc or not to M.Sc |
Dear All,
In the past years I have found these boards extremely useful while learning/experimenting with the 89c51 and for that I thank you. Now I'm approaching the end of my degree in electronics and control engineering and encountered a small dilemma which many do face. Is it worth undergoing a couple more years of studies for an M.Sc in our field? More specifically, how many of you got a promotion because of a better qualification in the past? I have been offered quite some good engineering jobs at this stage, one of them is an R&D job, the other involves less analysis and probably more focused on database coding which I learned on my own while undergoing internship (still am). Another university seemed interested in my HND project a year ago and have been encouraged to further my studies there but hesitated at the time. I'm 22 got no car, broke most of the time and basically focused most of my time on my studies in these last years. A part of me want's to 'start living', the other want's more sleepless nights (evil laugh). Anyway, any feedback will be appreciated. Kai |
