#177444 - Digital Signal Processor/Controller novice tips.. |
Hello Everyone,
I'm in this project where I am supposed to tap EMG signals and process them further to control robots. Now I am a complete novice as far as Digital Signal Processors and controllers are concerned. I came across a thread, http://www.8052.com/forumchat/read/112663 where Mr. Mahmood gives great advice about the dsPIC. But, he mentions in the thread that, I think dsPICs are very complicated for beginners, they have new assembly language to learn, different flag and registers names and you have to get used to the long numbers for arguments since it is 16 bit processors. So, I was wondering which processor/controller would suit my applications and would be simple enough for a beginner to program and use. Is there an 8051 variant? Thanks, Regards, Sonia Sanghvi |
