I've been trying to set up some customer systems with three USB-UART virtual com ports Probably best to use a proper USB-to-Multiple-Serial adaptor; eg, http://apple.clickandbuild.com/cnb/shop/...egoryID=89 http://www.digi.com/products/...p#overview http://www.dpie.com/pcbus/quatechusb_serial.html Connected several devices with the same VID, PID and serial number does confuse Windows As well it would!! That's like having multiple devices on a LAN all with the same MAC address! If the converter uses the Silabs or FTDI chips you can at least serialise them yourself. The ones that come from FTDI come ready done! |
