#175857 - My take Responding to: ???'s previous message |
how surnames are pronounced in English, and what would be the phonetical transcription of them...
My response to when people ask "how do I pronounce Malund" is "I respond to about a hundered pronounciations". In the beginning I waste large amounts of time on 'teaching' people a pronounciation and now I just answer as above. The amazing thing is that the Germans don't ask and have ONE (not the Danish) pronounciation regardless of who say my name whereas the Americans have hundereds. Erik |
