an option is a free version compiler. This means you can use a simple command line interpreter and editor program to do what a typical IDE does for you, such as Crimson Editor (or just code your own).
Indeed - but, as they say, "free" (sic) software is only free if you don't value your time... time 'penalty' of no IDE? I do not think there is any such with the possible exception of the "learning new tricks" time. Some of us had to spend the "learning new tricks" time learning to work with an IDE, today it is the reverse. Erik |
