#173386 - my favorite backup story Responding to: ???'s previous message |
A long time ago I worked for a company that hired a "data security consultant". He came to a couple of us and swore us to sectecy and asked us to come in on the weekend. On that weekend we backed up to OUR devices (tapes, if I recall) every PC in the company and wiped the harddrives. The following Monday it was found out who followed the established backup procedures and who did not. The 'scare' made the 'nonbelievers' start backing up from then on.
