#172617 - Low power indication
Hi all
I am developing a very low power devices which run on lithium coin cells (using PIC).Now this device is supposed to work for 10,000 hours after which it should give some indication to change the batteries. Now problem is audio(buzzer)/visual(leds) will consume lot of current which the battery by that time may not be able to provide and so may fail .Can forum members suggest any ideas for the same.
One idea i was googling for is maybe so chemical strip which changes colour when given a small electric pulse .About i am not able get the keyword to search. If anybody knows of such material(but commercial) they can guide me.

Thank you for your time for reading the post
Regards
