#171880 - Not really
Responding to: ???'s previous message

The consensus is, let someone else do the work.

No, that wasn't the point

Even if you're hired to be the specialist, let someone else do it.

This is clearly an area in which the OP is not a specialist.
In such cases, for a commercial project, it is definitely best to give such sub-tasks to someone else who really is a specialist and experienced in the field.

Not everything is black and white.

Very true.

If everything were black and white, the options would be easy!
It's the grey areas - like this one - that need the specialist!

The OP should not even tried to figure out the cabling

No, that wasn't the point.

The OP had already figured out his cabling - but the customer was querying it.
In cases like that, seeking an expert opinion is usually a good idea.

the OP should have just told a cable company what were the power requirements and how long along with envrionment. They would have taken care of it for them.

Yes, that is a pretty standard procurement practice, isn't it?!
