go ahead and then cost it, I'll bet you end up higher than e.g. an ASEA inverter. Just in case I'll tell you that 1200V IGBTs blow when the inverter is driven from 400VAC, be aware that the spikes etc reqire that the MOSFETS/IGBTs can handle 4 times the AC input voltagea minimum. the many repairs may simply be due to the MOSFETs being underrated, some 400VAC inverters (from otherwise good companies) came with 1200V IGBTs and blew occasionally.
