#166381 - Key term is 'logic level' Responding to: ???'s previous message |
There are now a lot of MOSFETs with 'logic level' gate drives. This usually means that they are turned on fully with only 5V of gate drive (that's 5V between the gate and source). They are easy to drive from 5V logic chips, but you may need something like a 74HC540 buffer chip if your 8051 port doesn't drive high strongly. IR logic level MOSFETs can usually be recognised by their IRFL???? part number. |
