In the bags, it makes a dent, but not a big mess of parts. I'm going to try it. I previously put only one component value per drawer, but then I have many hundreds of values ... that's why I went to the little zip-lock bags. What used to occupy an entire wall now fits a 6"x6"x6" cardboard box ... small enough to misplace, by the way ... yet contains many thousands of components.
