Wet metal work, road markings, mud, snow and ice
all conspire to make your front wheel lock, once that happens there is nothing you can do and you are going to crash, back wheel locks up isnt so bad, it will fishtail everywhere but prolly wont crash. Most scary moment was going down a 30% hill when it suddenly started hailling very hard, all you could do was hang on, couldn't touch the brakes, I reached 47 mph before I reached the bottom, luckily it wasnt very twisty. The professional riders reach about 60mph going down alpe d'Huez, prolly have to change their shorts at the bottom. |
