#165875 - Center of gravity is the biggest problem, not traction Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Nothing wrong with the traction (unless we are talking about wet manhole covers or white road paint).
The problem here is that the maximum retardation you can get with a bike is limited by the center of gravity in relation to the small distance to the front wheel. A car has low enough gravity that it can break until the front wheels locks up. A biker will get airborn long before unless it is raining or sand on the road, in which case a front-wheel lockup is easy to get and not the slighetst pleasant givent the big need of that front wheel rotating to keep the balance. |
