Sodding drivers who panic when someone overtakes them on a bike, pull out on you without looking, idiot pedestrians who stand and watch you coming down the road at 35 and then step out in front of you when they judge that you have no chance whatever of stopping.
On a road bike you have 23 mm wide tyres inflated to 110 PSI, they don't have a lot of traction at the best of times, trying to stop when some idiot driver has just slammed his brakes on gets interesting, it gets more interesting in the wet. |
