You can shove slow 8bit data in one side and clock it out high speed on the other side. (bit like a dual port ram). Great to use with slow processors like the 2051 For digital to video.... try NXP TI and AD for video encoders. OK..OK... the cost of your product is going up, the so is the performance. Joe No more cost... I have search but the the prices more than 0.5US$/pieces(local store) and availabity at local store. Depended with local store cause didn't have bank account and US$.
