Enough of the "handwaving" already!

Please tell us exactly what you intend to display. Tell us what TV standard (PAL or NTSC) you intend to use. VGA interface and timing will not readily work with TV sets. How do you intend to attach to the TV set?

how many characters of text? How are they formatted? How many pixels of graphics and in what format?

How do you intend to generate the video signal with an MCU that supports no external memory interface?

If it's for a $10 terminal, how do you intend the user to provide input (keyboard, mental telepathy ...)?
