I don't know what their reasoning was. I've wondered the same thing myself, though obviously not enough to try and find the answer. So I don't know that this was any part of their reasoning (I really like Caleb's answer for that), but in my mind I always associate black with death. In other words, the black wire can kill you. For the record, until I put a meter on them, I also assume the same of all the other colors too. Joe |
