Yes, quite a lot of nice things can be made with rotating mirrors. And with a facetted rotating mirror, there will be no time lost in any "retrace" of the light beam.

But most things in this world is relative. I would think that a speaker is intended for continuous operation at higher speeds than the voice coil assembly of a HDD. And if the loudspeaker has a very stiff cone, then it might be possible to make holes in the cone to make the loudspeaker more silent and easier to drive while still giving an acceptable control of the mirror turn angle.
